Kim Delaney (born Kim Delaney) is an American actress best recognized for her role as Detective Diane Russell in ABCs NYPD Blue, for which she was awarded the Emmy Award. Also, she is known for her role in the drama All My Children Philly CSI: Miami as well as Army Wives. Delaney was the sole child of the United Auto Workers executive and his wife who was a household worker. Her childhood was spent in a family with four other brothers. When she was a little girl, Delaney wanted to be a court-reporter. But in highschool, when she started modeling for commercials, and later after moving to New York. She was cast as an innocent child in the 1981 soap-opera All My Children. Since then Delaney has been in a variety of TV dramas and films. In contrast to her career success, her personal one is not as successful and happy. She has been in the past accomplished actress battled alcoholism and had two marriages fail.
