Kim Delaney (born Kim Delaney) is an American actress best recognized for her role as Detective Diane Russell in ABCs NYPD Blue, for which she was awarded the Emmy Award. Also, she is known for her role in the drama All My Children Philly CSI: Miami as well as Army Wives. Delaney was the sole child of the United Auto Workers executive and his wife who was a household worker. Her childhood was spent in a family with four other brothers.
